Monroe, La. Dec. 2 8,1912. New Orleans wires: With the of current week the market The declining tendency of American markets, March here having sold at 12.6S today, was checked by report to effect that large irterefeta were covering short in the New York market, which influenced covering by scattered shorts over Sunday. An important feature of the week was the yearly statement issued in Rome, Italy, by the International Institute of Agriculture, wherein it 1 6x 1 0 I 76 was that the tolal yield of ton in the United States, In a Japan and Egypt, is estimated at nine million pounds, or only 4 per cent less than iast year.

This report is deserving of moto Jthan passing notice, as last the total cotton yield of the world was 22.297.000 bales, where the consumption by the world was only 20,402,000, leaving a surplus of 1.895.000 bales. Therefore if the cotton crop of the this year is only 4 per cent smaller than it was one year ago and if the consumption is not any larger than last record, there will be another 1.000,- NEW YORK.
