Her husband Dick preceded her in glory on September 17, 1998. Her parents, William and Lucille Jeffirs and brother Don Jeffirs, all from Hooks, TX, also preceded her in glory. Ginny was a "light on the hill" to those who were blessed enough to know her.

She was involved in many community and church ministries, especially American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Kairos prison ministries, Kairos Outside, Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis events. She considered it her God-given mission to spread his love to all around her. Her glowing smile and warm personality was offered to everyone she met. She taught the world how to show God's grace even in the midst of a long battle with breast cancer.
