The incident began at 9:20 a.m., when Shreveport police received a report of an armed robbery in progress at Hibernia National Bank near the intersection of Pines Road and Greenwood Road. Police said two employees of Intertrust Armor Service were making a delivery to the bank when several men wearing masks pulled a gun and demanded money.
